Four intruders arrested from Tripura-Bangladesh border

Agartala, Apr 22 : The Border Security Force (BSF) detained four youths, including a resident of Nagaland, while they were entering Indian territory through western border of Tripura from Bangladesh.

Police today said all of them were sent to jail yesterday and were being interrogated.

Initial investigation revealed that three Bangladeshi youths entered India through Srimantapur checkpost of West Tripura on April 13 with valid visa but they returned to Bangladesh illegally and they had been trying to cross the border again when they were detained.

One of the detainees, Rakesh Datta, resident of Dimapur in Nagaland, was also found to have travelled to Chittagong of Bangladesh without a valid passport, police added.
