HYDERABAD: Two youngsters from Assam died in a road mishap near Dundigal on
Wednesday morning.
The mishap occurred at Bachupally when Vipul Kumar, 19 and Naren Bora, 20, of Assam were going to Chaitanya college in Bachupally to attend selection tests for security guards.
At about 10.30 am, while they were going to Bachupally from Rajiv Gandhi Nagar in Dundigal, a water tanker coming behind them hit their bike.
"They fell on the road and came under the rear tyres of the tanker," Dundigal SI Vikram Singh said.
With critical injuries, Vipul and Naren died on the spot. The tanker driver abandoned the vehicle and fled from the spot. A case was registered against him under section 304-A (causing death by rash or negligent act) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
