Karimganj (Assam), Aug 6 (PTI) Three persons with a huge cache of explosives were arrested at a village along the Indo-Bangla border in Assam's Karimganj district today.
Acting on a tip-off, BSF personnel raided a house in Maladighipar village in the district and apprehended the trio and handed them over to police.
Ten kg of explosives and 90 electronic detonators were recovered from their possession, they said.
The security forces suspect the explosives were brought from across the border to create violence in the run-up to the Independence Day in the state.
