Guwahati, Feb 20 : The four surveyors of a Chennai-based company who were abducted by a nascent outfit Dimasa National Liberation Front were released in North Cachar Hills this afternoon.
The four, engaged in seismic survey, were abducted from their Langting work site on February 5. Ashok Saikia, proprietor of the Indian Oil Tanking Limited, which had engaged the Chennai-based company, said the four were released unharmed.
Reshuffle
Dispur today effected a minor bureaucratic reshuffle swapping deputy commissioners of Dibrugarh and Nalbari, says a staff reporter. Dibrugarh DC Ashutosh Agnihotri will replace Nalbari DC G.D. Tripathi and vice-versa.
