Dimapur : The six-monthly meeting of Dimapur TOLIC (Town Official Language Implementation Committee) held January 21 at ARTC&S Dimapur assessed the progress of implementing the use of Hindi language in Central Govt offices at Dimapur. Brigadier Pramod Behl, DIG, Commandant ARTC&S chaired the meet and he stresses the importance of the progressive use of Hindi and requested all members to implement the policies issued by the Govt of India regarding publicity and implementation of the Official Language.

He also highlighted the importance of Hindi typing training for staff on computers, to encourage officers and staff to record their signatures on official correspondence in Hindi and to make all notice boards and name plates of offices bilingual.  The DIG also requested the members to organise various Hindi programmes such as Hindi Typing, Poem recitation, Essay writing, Debates, Noting-Drafting amongst other things, in their offices for better publicity and implementation of the Official Language. 

The meet was attended by 25 members including the AGM of IDBI Dimapur, managers of Allahabad Bank, MSME, IDBI, Vijaya Bank, Central Bank of India and Dimapur Airport along with other distinguished members of central government offices in Dimapur.  The representatives presented inputs on the use of Hindi in their respective offices.
The next meeting of TOLIC is scheduled to take place in August next at Sukhovi.
