Nagaon, June 12 (IBNS) Four people, including a home guard, were arrested for allegedly kidnapping and killing a forest guard in Assam’s Orang National Park on Saturday, officials said.
Assam Police home guard Ishahoq Ali, Mahout Tajuddin, his father and elder brother were arrested, who allegedly kidnapped forest guard Hasan Ali from Pachnoi from anti-poaching camp inside the park last night.
Orang National Park authorities said, after hearing two gun shots inside the park, a patrolling forest guard group carried out a search operation and Ali's body of Saturday morning.
"There are two bullet injuries in Ali’s stomach," said authorities.
Authorities added, killed Hassan Ali tried to stop several poaching operations and got to know about the arrested people being involved in such poaching incidents inside the park.
