DIPHU/HAFLONG, Dec 13 – Several organisations based in Karbi Anglong have called a 24-hour bandh in Karbi Anglong and North Cachar Hills districts on December 16 in support of their demand for the creation of an autonomous State.
In a joint press conference, leaders and office bearers of KAASDCOM, KSA, KARSA and KRA said that they would stage a hunger strike in New Delhi on the same day.
Meanwhile, 50 organisations of NC hills, Karbi Anglong, Cachar, Karimganj, Hailakandi and Nagaon districts have called a 36-hour ‘Dimaraji bandh’ from 5 am on December 15. The bandh has been called in demand of the creation of Dimaraji.
